Costessey
Hall in mid- nineteenth century
At Costessey in 1826-1836
J.C.Buckler produced a Gothic fantasy for Lord Stafford, which dwarfed
the original Elizabethan hall ;
it was a 'superb folly" wiith turrets, pinanacles and chimneys all
dominated by a masssive 'keep'
